Week 7 EOC: The Pitch


My pitch and idea for a food truck concept is a twist on the po’ boy sandwich, it will have a surf and turf concept. But definitely not the steak and lobster you normally think of, that’s for the rich people.  My idea for a surf and turf will be any edible food from the sea and any edible food from the land.  You can get any seafood and land combo for lunch all for $9.00.  Prepared deep fried or grilled.  Vegan options will also be available.  Catering will also be available for any type of event or party held.  Every food item would be served on eco friendly containers.  My market for this will be geared for the hard working man or woman who is looking for a great time with great food for a reasonable price.  The essence of the Po’ boy will be my play on the snobby high class people of Las Vegas.  It’s the experience of not worrying about whether you come from a blue collar, white collar, or any other color class that we have come to know in America as your social standing.  It’s the freedom to be who you are, it’s where you come to be a part of a culture and root for the underdog.  It’s the proverbial middle finger to those people who believe that they are better than we are.  It’s my grassroots movement to let the hard working people of Las Vegas know that they are not alone in their struggles.   The Po’ boy food truck will be a place to gather with your equals no matter your background.  To help with the cause ten percent of the sales made each month will be donated to charities around Las Vegas.  It will be my way of giving back.
