Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

My pitch and idea for a food truck concept is a twist on the po’ boy sandwich, it will have a surf and turf concept. But definitely not the steak and lobster you normally think of, that’s for the rich people.  My idea for a surf and turf will be any edible food from the sea and any edible food from the land.  You can get any seafood and land combo for lunch all for $9.00.  Prepared deep fried or grilled.  Vegan options will also be available.  Catering will also be available for any type of event or party held.  Every food item would be served on eco friendly containers.  My market for this will be geared for the hard working man or woman who is looking for a great time with great food for a reasonable price.  The essence of the Po’ boy will be my play on the snobby high class people of Las Vegas.  It’s the experience of not worrying about whether you come from a blue collar, white collar, or any other color class that we have come to know in America as your social standing.  It’s the freedom to be who you are, it’s where you come to be a part of a culture and root for the underdog.  It’s the proverbial middle finger to those people who believe that they are better than we are.  It’s my grassroots movement to let the hard working people of Las Vegas know that they are not alone in their struggles.   The Po’ boy food truck will be a place to gather with your equals no matter your background.  To help with the cause ten percent of the sales made each month will be donated to charities around Las Vegas.  It will be my way of giving back.

Week 8 EOC: My Creative Content

My creative content for my food truck PoorBoyeez Food Truck would first be to utilize all social media outlets that are available to me.  Utilizing Twitter and Facebook to post menu specials of the day and a link to the website were anyone can get information on menus, pricing, events, and other miscellaneous items.  YouTube creative contest would be held monthly on topics dealing with being a PoorBoy or PoorGurl in your town.  My love for audio would be incorporated into my food truck.  Play list for my food truck would be from followers who have linked their own work with the SoundCloud account for PoorBoyeez.  Mix-tapes will be produced and sold only from highly voted songs from followers.  It would be a volume series that would come out every three to six months depending on the demand from customers.  Incorporated with the launch of every mix-tape would be a meet and greet of the future stars of Las Vegas.  Also, I would sell shirts that would be displayed on the inside of my truck and on the LCD screen with other events and information that would be taking place the day of, it will be located on the outside of my truck for people to see as I’m driving around town.  Loyal followers would be able to give me ideas on shirt quotes that people will also vote on and see printed on specialty shirts sold.  Pre-orders will be taken for mix-tapes and shirts on the website itself.  Pick up will be at any location the food truck will be for the day.  Rewards for winners will be a copy of the shirt or mix-tape that they were a part of, free food for 30 visits, and a special menu item named after them ran for an entire month.    

Week 6 EOC: Me X 3 Products I Use

Ever since I was in Junior High I’ve been using Old Spice.  I’ve tried the others like Right Guard and Degree for men but none worked for me the way Old Spice has.  Its right blend of chemicals has made it so that my skin didn’t break out in rashes like the other deodorants have.  Plus its smell isn’t overpowering like the others.  Another product that I have come very fond of is Samsungs LCD TV’s.  The sure design and technology behind Samsung is very creative and innovative.  My first LCD TV was a Samsung and I haven’t thought of or looked at any other brand since.  The quality you get from Samsung to me has far surpassed Sony and the other TV brands.  The product truly speaks for itself, especially when trying to convince your wife that you need another TV for the household, as in my case.  The sleek design and picture quality compared side by side with the other TVs was all it took for my wife to say yes.  I believe Samsung has gotten it right by appealing to both sexes.  Finally the other product that I use on a daily basis is Optimum Nutrition’s Procomplex Protein powder.  It has helped me to maintain a healthy diet in my weight training regimen without sacrificing the taste that most protein powders are known for.  By allowing me to focus on the task at hand with proven results that I have seen it’s been the best protein supplement I have come a crossed.  This is one of the reasons why it has become the number one rated protein supplement by bodybuilders for three years in a row now.  And when people who make a living from bodybuilding say it’s the best, who am I to argue with them?
